In addition to the SBTE courses under another memorandum of understanding with Assam University, CIDC together with IndSTT is introducing diploma and post diploma certificate programme in Trenchless Technology at Assam University, Silchar and various CIDC centers across the nation on self financing basis. The Diploma Program is starting from 08-03-2008 and Post Diploma is start from July 2008.

It is aimed to train candidates for a specialization in any one of the following five techniques: Moling, Pipe Ramming, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Microtunneling and Pipe Bursting. After completing the class room teaching successfully, the candidates would be placed with the practicing Trenchless service providers for internship training.

Invitation to Trenchless Technology Stakeholders

As this endeavor of IndSTT would be delivering trained & tested workmen to the stakeholders, it is  believed that it will receive the support of all the stakeholders. IndSTT invites the stakeholders to join it in any or all of the following activities:

1. Joining IndSTT as a visiting faculty for these courses. Click Here to know more about this.
2. Engaging apprentices in their projects as interns.
3. Employing such trained students upon completion of the course & award of diploma.

4. Deputing their employees for these courses who can be provided the class room training at these polytechnics. Subsequently the trainees could be based at stakeholders' project sites for internship & job continuance.

5. IndSTT has also proposed stipends to the students of these courses on a first come first serve basis. Stakeholders may also consider engaging such students from the start of the course by contributing this stipend of selected students, so that students are groomed as per the requirements.

6. Any other manner, like instituting scholarships or grants/books to students/donating Trenchless equipment /tools/others for training purpose & like wise.
