Trenchless
Technology provides several competing solutions to develop and manage subsurface
infrastructure networks. Since they are competing, one needs to be judicious
enough to select the most appropriate solution for a given set of requirements.
Such capacity can be developed only if one is properly sensitized about such
alternatives and knowledgeable enough to evaluate the appropriateness of each
solution. Once a decision
is made for a particular techniques the next in line is the proper knowledge of
working for such technique, related equipment, consumables and the related
environment. Unless this is done, proper technology promotion can not be
accomplished.
Education,
therefore is
one of the main thrust areas of INDSTT. The initiative is spearheaded by the
Executive Director under the guidance of various committees formed for different
purposes. IndSTT has taken several actions in this direction. Through the
